  • DNA Dad

DNA Dad - one woman play

BDNA Dad is a darkly funny and deeply personal new play by Becky Walsh.

When Rebecca discovers the man she thought was her father isn’t her biological dad, the truth cracks open a whole new family story. On stage, different parts of her psyche come to life as characters – the child, the teenage rebel, the pragmatic adult – each battling to make sense of identity, belonging and love.

Mixing sharp comedy with raw honesty, the play explores family secrets, intergenerational stories, and what it means to discover who you really are. Inspired by Internal Family Systems therapy, DNA Dad uses inner voices as live characters, weaving humour and heartbreak into a theatrical search for truth.

Based on a true story… or is it?
